Dylan accepts briefs in crime, public and administrative law, and public inquiries and inquests.

 

Dylan has quickly built a busy practice since coming to the Bar. He is regularly briefed in trials, summary hearings, sentences and appeals in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts. While Dylan’s background is in prosecution advocacy, he is regularly retained for the defence.

 

Dylan also maintains a broad public law practice, with particular experience in judicial and merits review, proceeds of crime/confiscation and information protection. He regularly appears for Commonwealth agencies in State and federal courts and tribunals, both led and unled. 

 

Prior to his call to the Bar, Dylan worked at a top tier national law firm before joining the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth). He later joined the Australian Government Solicitor as a Senior Lawyer in the Security and Enforcement Team. 

 

Dylan was an Associate to His Honour Judge Jarro of the District Court of Queensland.

 

Dylan holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
